The Niemen Non Stop Young Talents Festival

The Niemen Non Stop Young Talents Festival – the first and the only festival in Poland devoted to memory, legend and phenomenon of 'the Polish artist of all times', Czesław Niemen – has been taking place in Słupsk in the autumn months, since 2006, under the Honourable Patronage of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage as well as the Mayor of Słupsk and the Marshal of the Pomerania Region. The Honorary Guest of the festival is Małgorzata Niemen.

This greatest Polish celebration of Czesław Niemen music has had international character since its 6th edition (2011). Its highest artistic quality has been guaranteed by the participation of prominent figures of the Polish and international music scene as well as of the 'living legends' – artists who used to cooperate with Niemen very closely in the 60s and the 70s. Some prestige Polish music journalists also take part in the event (e.g. from the Jazz Forum magazine, Polish Radio Programme 1, TVP2, TVP Kultura).

The integral part of the festival is the International Singing Contest scen@niemena. It is the only such a contest in the country, with the highest standards of interpretations and performances. The festival also features a discussion panel Nota Anamnesis as well as multimedia, film and arts shows in our festival 'Pod papugami' club.

The festival features Anna Maćkowiak as the festival's Director, Grzegorz Szczepłocki as the Artistic Director, Roman Radoszewski as the Programme Consultant and Paweł Brodowski, the editor of the Jazz Forum magazine, as the Master of Ceremonies.
